Storyline: The crew of the prairie schooner abandons ship before the collision with the water tower holding Gopher Gus and Grogan. The rainstorm has transformed the fields into one big muddy mess and everyone finds themselves coated in mud from head to toe. The collapse of the water tower breaks open the tank and adds even more mud to the mess. Sandy ropes the two cattle rustlers and holds them for the sheriff, who comes along and arrests them. We later see Frumson and his pals racing their sleek, modern, prairie land schooners across the dusty flat plains, driven by wind powered sails.

Storyline: An angry Bart Blatt runs towards the rostrum to expose Tubbs' rotten dealings to the convention, when Sen. Oilengass tells him he didn't know anything about Tubbs handing out hate leaflets or kidnapping Angie. Bart agrees not to make a scene. Oilengass speaks to the convention, telling them what happened and releasing them from their votes if they so desire. When the second ballot is counted, Pettigrew has enough votes to be the candidate for president. Pettigrew steps forward to speak to the crowd and for the first time we see him. He's the first Negro candidate for president.

Storyline: The history of the American flag, with a look at various flags over the years and tips on how to properly display the flag.

Storyline: Chuck brings Tony back to New York City to turn himself in to authorities in order to get his name cleared of hit-and-run charges. Vince contacts the newspapers so that the story will be plastered on all the headlines. The judge finds Tony innocent of all charges. Tony visits the accident victim and sings to her in the hospital to cheer her up. Tony turns down a deal to appear in a midtown theater for 2 weeks at $10,000 a week. He'd rather be a nobody back in Alaska. He asks Chuck to make arrangements for him and his mom to fly back to Alaska. Tony thinks he'll do well studying electronics.
