Storyline: As the assassin pulls the triggger, Joey quickly springs into action and pushes the governor out of the way. The assassin is tackled to the ground and held for the police, while the governor is taken to the hospital for the bullet grazing his shoulder. The president is having a reception tonight, where it is expected that he will announce his support for a candidate to succeed him. Most likely Sen. Oilengasss. Joey and Angie sneak into the reception. Joey talks with who he thinks is a waiter, but is really the president. Angie is eating a bannana behind Oilengass and he trips on the peel.

Storyline: Believing Old Thunder to be gentle, Frumson allows himself to be put on the back of the savage old rodeo bronc. The horse is kicking and rearing, but Frumson is holding on pretty well until the saddle girth breaks and he's thrown into a watering trough. Uncle Tom chews out Grogan for endangering his nephew's life and ruining a fine saddle. Frumson overhears Grogan talking to another ranch hand and it sounds like they're planning on stealing cattle before they count heads at the big roundup.
