Storyline: Mr. Giltrock, Chetwode and Frisbee have just stolen Henrietta and are trying to push the flivver into a barge, when Henrietta starts acting stubborn and jumps into the water. The Harbor Patrol pass by and give Mr. Giltrock a $100 fine for casting junk metal into the harbor.

Storyline: The fire department ambulance and highway plow rescue the Everett family in their stalled car during the snowstorm. After Hobey finds a gummy deposit in the carburetor, Chuck decides to take a sample of the gasoline for police analysis. Judd hears of this and tries to get the gasoline can back from the printing office, but tips the can over and runs out of the building with a candle burning on the floor near the gasoline as it's spilling toward the flame.
