Storyline: Miss Anne asks Old Man Winter to tell her everything there is to know about his white carpet of snow. He starts from the beginning and tells her about all of the steps required for water vapor to become snow. All snowflakes are 6-sided and all different. A look at other aspects of snow around the world.

Storyline: In response to Tony's distress call by ham radio, planes are landing on the river with medical supplies. The broken bridge is soon repaired and truckloads of food, equipment and fuel arrive. The swamp is heavily sprayed to kill the last of the mosquitoes and plowing begins. The valley is surveyed into homestead claims, trees are felled for lumber and used to build a small church. Ed appologizes to Wilson for questioning his leadership. Kurt Rowe from Aware magazine arrives & asks Chuck to write a story about the homesteaders. Chuck takes leave of the Copper River Valley, but vows to return.

Storyline: Once Lenin was dead, Zinoviev and Kamenev plotted with Trotsky to defeat Stalin, but Stalin had already grabbed power. He had Trotsky banished from Russia and in 1940 was killed by a Stalin agent in Mexico. The other two were demoted and executed. Stalin used propaganda to build himself up and his chief proponent was Khruschev, who helped him rise to power. Millions were sent to labor camps. All land was confiscated as property of The State.The peasants revolted by burning crops and cattle. Millions starved to death.He refused help from other countries, as it would admit defeat for communism.

Storyline: Using the smugglers' own signal, FBI men have captured the schooner Resolute, but now they have been attacked by General Lagarto's forces and are being driven back. Frumson and Jimmy get below deck and into the storeroom to find a box of tacks and a small salute cannon. They load the tacks into the cannon and shoot it at the barefoot pirates, who are rendered helpless with pain when they step on the tacks that are all over the deck. The FBI takes the pirates into custody and Jimmy and Frumson are made members of The Swashbuckling Brotherhood of Honorary Pirates.
