Per Art Lortie from GCD-Chat discussion list (10 September 2015) that the head of the alien bears a striking resemblance to the alien on the cover of Fantasy Times (James V. Taurasi and Raymond Van Houten, 1941 series) #74 (1 February 1949) drawn by Herman von Tokken, known as Tok.
