"$5,000 reward Wanted Dead or Alive The Rockdust Bandits..."

Storyline

When Clark accidentally knocks out members of the Rockdust Gang, who are smuggling out stolen gold from town, the timid reporter is made Sheriff of Saddle Rock. But it's Superman who uncovers the identity of the real criminal boss of the gang.

Story Featuring Green Arrow

"The grim climax of law vs. crime - the chase!"

Storyline

Velvet Hand's crime spree is ended when Green Arrow identifies him as reporter Deadline Dugan. When Dugan is made editor of the prison newspaper, he prints codded messages telling his gang where to rob prime targets. Green Arrow breaks the code and prints his own edition of the prison newspaper with a coded message that leads the gang to a trap.

Big-game hunter Tasker Trout is a phony, secretly paying Carson to perform the actual killing. Zatara is at a banquet honoring Trout, where his nephew tries to disprove Trout's false claims. He uses his magic to foil Edgar's plans.

Story Featuring The Boy Commandos

"Oil! - The rich prize of wars1"

Storyline

Rollo returns with a scheme to force oil operators in Red Valley to insure their wells and rigs with his company. The Boy Commandos and Rip arrive in the town to investigate the mysterious oil well fires, and put paid to his operations.

Havoc on Wheels!

"Johnny Everyman knows well the threat of sudden death..."

Storyline

Johnny is on his way to give a lecture when his car is nearly run off the road. During the course of his talk, Johnny speaks of careless youthful motorists. He recognizes the culprit from earlier in the audience, and later is introduced to him formerly at the home of his hosts, as their son Frank. A near fatal accident while the arrogant Frank is driving Johnny's souped-up car brings Frank to his senses and he becomes a tireless advocate for safe driving.
