Story featuring Chuck White and His Friends

Storyline: Another school year opens at St. Marks for Chuck White. As he heads to the first football practice of the season, he confides in his teammates that he wants to make athletics his career and someday be a great coach. During a field play, Jonesy distracts Chuck by running the wrong way and Chuck collides with other players and is knocked unconscious. He's rushed to the hospital, where X-rays are taken. The Dean asks Father Carroll to get in touch with Chuck's parents, but is told that they're in Panama. Fr. Carroll is told that Chuck's sports days and perhaps walking days may be over.

Storyline: A foreign submarine cruises under the waters of Montauck Point, Long Isand, NY. On the surface, Jake and Pete are hauling in loads of fish on their boat The Reaper, when Captain Bob reports that the fathometer is acting up again. The instrument is showing something big below them, where there shouldn't be anything. Nearby, a pleasure cruiser with two men aboard are scheduled to rendezvous with the submarine to smuggle packages of microfilm to the sub's crew.
