Storyline
Starman becomes involved in a case involving the mysterious deaths of several members of an expedition in the Arabian Desert who had taken an accursed bloodstone from an ancient temple.

Storyline
When a U.S. submarine officer is kidnapped, the Hourman discovers it's all due to the evil Dr. Glisten, who uses a strange glow to hypnotize his victims, then uses them to operate private submarines to plunder shipping and blame it on enemy submarines.
