Storyline: A veteran space pilot is forced to retire because of his lack of experience with newer equipment, but an alien visitor gives Earth a challenge that only he can pass. After succeeding, he is appointed to command the space patrol, but the alien visitor was really the pilot in disguise.

Storyline: A scientist creates a time machine to travel back to ancient Egypt in order to pose as a magician and find the location of a great treasure. He is trapped in the past when his time machine is buried with the Pharaoh.

Storyline: An untalented bald actor wants to receive the leading parts in plays so he goes to a witchman for a potion that will help him. The witchman tells him that he does have such a potion but does not want to give it to him, because it is too dangerous. The actor is heedless and pulls a gun on him. The witchman relents and gives the actor the potion, but the actor finds that after drinking it he can only find work as a circus freak because his hair grows so quickly.

Storyline: Robots make Earth into a living paradise, but humans grow fearful and oppress them. The robots leave for another planet, where they build and oppress their own robots while Fate laughs.
