Appearances of Aquaman

Created by Mort Weisinger and Paul Norris. Aquaman first appeared in More Fun Comics (DC, 1936 series) #73 (November 1941). In his Golden Age adventures, Aquaman did not have a secret identity. A new origin was given in Adventure Comics (DC, 1938 series) #260 (May 1959), which established Aquaman's name as Arthur Curry. Adventure Comics #260 is considered to be first Silver Age / Earth-One appearance of Aquaman. See separate character record for [Aquaman [Arthur Curry / Orin]][6565]. The Golden Age Aquaman's adventures were retroactively placed on Earth-Two, beginning in All-Star Squadron (DC, 1981 series) #31 (March 1984) and ending in issue #60 (August 1986). This Aquaman's history was erased by the Crisis on Infinite Earths in 1986.
