Appearances of Aquaman
Created by Mort Weisinger and Paul Norris.
Aquaman first appeared in More Fun Comics (DC, 1936 series) #73 (November 1941). In his Golden Age adventures, Aquaman did not have a secret identity.
A new origin was given in Adventure Comics (DC, 1938 series) #260 (May 1959), which established Aquaman's name as Arthur Curry. Adventure Comics #260 is considered to be first Silver Age / Earth-One appearance of Aquaman. See separate character record for [Aquaman [Arthur Curry / Orin]][6565].
The Golden Age Aquaman's adventures were retroactively placed on Earth-Two, beginning in All-Star Squadron (DC, 1981 series) #31 (March 1984) and ending in issue #60 (August 1986). This Aquaman's history was erased by the Crisis on Infinite Earths in 1986. His adventures were later reintegrated into mainstream continuity in 2022 (this version adopted the alias Adam Waterman in 1947). See separate character record for [Aquaman [Adam Waterman]][28065].
