All Star Superman, 2006 Series
This series kind of got me back into collecting after I read an article about it in 2008.
Art: The lines are some lovely in these books, and for a guy that loves both the simplicity of Frank Miller as well as Moebius, Frank Quitely just kind of blew me away. It's old-school Superman in a simultaneously detailed and sparse production that makes everything clean and easy to read, visually.
Writing: And Grant Morrison- I fell in love with his New X-Men run after reading this, because he's got a great way of telling non-linear stories. This series pulls out all of the best bad guys (and reimagines them), has some future-history Supermen, gratuitous Krypto, and plenty of Lois. It's a love letter to anyone who grew up with 70s Superman, and I couldn't get enough of it.
