The story title, "To Fail Is to Conquer... to Succeed Is to Die!" is from an ancient Afghan proverb. The late 1970's-early 1980's video game classic, Space Invaders is mentioned in this story. Story concludes next issue. First Joe story to carry over into more than a single issue as the first few were self-contained stories.
