Storyline

The Fixer and Mentallo capture the Thing from the SHIELD helicarrier and use him to invade the Baxter Building where they use Doom's time platform to pull Deathlok from the future.

Storyline

Spider-Man saves the Champ from being killed by throwing a Hostess Cupcake in the referee's (alias The Foe) mouth before he can count to two.

Stan Lee announces that he and Jack Kirby will be putting out an original novel length epic adventure of the Silver Surfer published by Simon & Schuster. He says there are still a few thousand copies of Bring On the Bad Guys available for purchase and you might also be able to find a combo pack of Origins and Son of Origins. Items about how Jack Kirby (whose wife Rosalind also attended) were honored at the annual World Comic Convention at Lucca, Italy (Stan Lee had been honored in the past), January is the month that Marvel Preview featuring Man-God (the Roy Thomas and Tony DeZuniga adaptation of Phillip Wylie's Gladiator) is coming out (even though it has been announced in the past but had to be postponed when a large section of the completed pages disappeared somewhere in the mail), the second issue of Rampaging Hulk will be out next month with a story guest-starring the X-Men by the team of Doug Moench, Walt Simonson and Alfredo Alcala (with a Bloodstone back-up feature), Sharon Ing is the new aide to Vice President of Operations Solly Brodsky, Nelson Yomtov (production prince for the reprint line and third baseman for the Bullpen softball team) just returned from vacationing in Hawaii, Frank Giacoia's youngest daughter Margaret was just married, the Human Fly comic (based on an actual daredevil who specializes in hair-raising stunts) will be premiering soon and the upcoming 50 cents King-size Annuals will star The Incredible Hulk, Captain America, Howard the Duck, Amazing Spider-Man, Master of Kung Fu, The Defenders, Thor, The Eternals, Fantastic Four, Invaders, Iron Man, Marvel Two-In-One (which co-stars Spider-Man with the Thing), Avengers and Conan the Barbarian. Includes a small picture of the Human Fly. Appears between pages 15 and 16 of the story.
