Storyline
Editor Bill Gaines and artist Al Feldstein sit in the EC offices and banter about possible story lines, and agree upon the idea of a super atomic bomb, termed the Cosmic Ray Bomb.

The Black Arts
"Secrets stolen from the ages of darkness..."
Storyline
Timid Luther is smitten with the lovely Miss Dennis, but she doesn't even know he exists. While in the library, he chances upon a book of black magic. It contains a recipe for a love potion, the cure for Luther's heartache! After experimenting on a cat, Luther slips the potion into Miss Dennis' tea. It doesn't seem to work, and a despondent Luther re-reads the recipe. Oops, it turns out the potion shouldn't be mixed with tea; it could cause horrific results. As Luther plans another attempt with the potion, a hairy, clawed arm reaches for his throat.

Storyline
Professor MacIntosh attempts to dissuade his former pupil from building a time machine for the purpose of returning to the night of the accident that took his wife's life and change events in order to spare her life. The machine sends him back to 1946, but the attempt to save her fails.....then the professor suggests an alternative plan with unexpected consequences.

Storyline
For some time, Paul Arnold has been sneaking out information re the atomic bomb to a partner of his, and, together, plan to sell the information to another world power for millions. But greed intervenes.....with disastrous results!
