Storyline: Longhorn cattle, once so plentiful as to be valueless, become a hot commodity after the Civil War. Food shortages lead to the rise of cattle drives, and the price of longhorn cattle soars.

Storyline: While returning to camp after getting supplies, Wishbone gives an Indian girl a ride to her camp. She is the chief's daughter and he declares that Wishbone must marry her. A brave challenges Wishbone to combat for the girl's hand. Rowdy tracks Wishbone to the camp and comes up with a plan to get Wishbone away without offending the Indians.

Storyline: Rancher Dave Howard sends his bull-headed son Jim on the trail drive with Favor and Yates in hopes that they'll be able to make a cattleman of him.
