Story featuring Captain America

Storyline: A messenger has interrupted his class to let him know that, after six months of healing, Bucky is ready to be picked up at the hospital. The two have a tearful reunion after which they are gassed in a cab by one of the Trickster's henchmen. He takes them to a garage because the Trickster knows he can get to Cap through Bucky and releases Steve so that he can inform the papers. Steve changes to Cap and retraces his steps back to the garage to defeat the Trickster.

Storyline: In the May 29, 1948 issue of "The Saturday Review of Literature", Fredric Wertham wrote an article condemning comic books and their affects on children (6 years before his book "Seduction of the Innocent"). This article, and the ensuing debate around it, led to this letter from "The Editors Marvel Comic Group" addressing Dr. Wertham's findings. It also led to Jean Thompson's editorial endorsement credit you find in this issue.
