Writer credit as per author account books. •This story concludes Gaylord Du Bois's eleven years' work on the series, through all three title incarnations dating back to 1939, when it was The Funnies and he was writing Sky Ranger and Lightning Jim U. S. Marshal for the series. •Du Bois's *connection* to New Funnies as a writer lasted 24 years: directly 1939-1948; and tangentially (Young Hawk) 1949-1962.
