Case of the Bends!

Story featuring Namor the Sub-Mariner

Storyline: While strolling the waterfront, Namor witnesses a girl drop dead. He diagnoses the unlikely cause as the bends and decides to investigate a nearby river dredge that he finds suspicious. There, he discovers that Dr. D. Mencha is experimenting on young girls, inflicting them with decompression sickness. Namor takes a quick trip to Betty Dean’s apartment to enlist the aid of Namora, whom he uses as bait to catch the demented scientist in the act. The plan works and with the evidence they need, the cousins round up the professor and his men for the harbor police.
