In an example of the changes in attitude circa 1945-1946 as opposed if this story was written in 1941-1942, is the panel in which Joyce ponders her doubts about Albright's lab assistant, Mitsuo, "There's something I don't like about that little Japanese! I'll keep an eye on this room tonight! If I remember right he isn't an American born Nisei. They can be trusted!"
