Story Featuring Vigilante

Storyline

The Dummy escapes from prison riding a large dog. He buys the firm of S. Gimmick, art-appraisers. Patrons bring their paintings and leave them for authentication. A counterfeit is them made and passed back to the owner as the original. The Vigilante tracks down the forger, who leads him straight to The Dummy.

Storyline

When asked by Zatara, stage actor Leslie Lawson claims he is too poor to donate to the Home for Aged Actors. Zatara finds that he is being threatened with physical disfigurement by Thumbs Turner, so he reassembles a group of the aged actors, dresses them in period costume for a Shakespeare production, and makes them young again. Lawson he turns into a giant, and Turner is suitably scared. Now that he no longer has to pay blackmail to Turner, Lawson donates $10,000 anonymously to the home.
