Storyline
Brilliant astronomer Jimmy Wells needs money to buy an observatory, and wealthy Wesley Vanderloot agrees to buy it for him providing Wells allows Vanderloot to take credit for all of Jimmy's discoveries. When Ted Knight begins to suspect the true reasons behind Vanderloot's success, it nearly costs Wells and Starman their lives.

Storyline
During the war, ex-poet and isolationist Tom Riley lives alone and self sufficient on a pacific island. The Japanese army arrives and transforms the peaceful island into a military base. Tom Riley is forced to decide whether or not to remain an isolationist.
