Superman investigates the allegations of a young woman about the existence of a "water sprite", all a hoax to keep the authorities from discovering cheap materials that had been used in building a dam.

Storyline

A sample of a new magnetic alloy is worth up to a million dollars to rival steel producers Hoglett and Baker. Vigilante and Stuff pursue the sample on its long journey to the smelter, eventually retuning it to the honest Baker, who donates fifty thousand dollars to charity.

Storyline

Obsessed with stories of fantasy, Jimmy Timms goes to bed with his mind racing about the outcome of some stories he was reading. In his dreams a winged Zatara takes him on a magical tour of various story locales. He and Jimmy assist Jan to plug the dyke in Holland, Jack's beanstalk to grow and the defeat of the giant, Red Riding Hood to overcome the wolf, and the Pied Piper to lure the rats from Hamelin.
