"High summer in the Colorado Rockies, and everywhere the air seems full of things green and growing."

Storyline

The Hulk is back on Earth after his inter-dimensional jaunt but doesn't seem too happy about it. Doc Samson tricks Hulk with illusions of his greatest foes which allows him to get close enough to knock the Hulk out.

The story is divided into three chapters and an interlude: Chapter One: "The Call of the Desert"; Interlude: "Life Among the Fallen"; Chapter Two: "Yesterday's Sorrows..." and Chapter Three: "Yesterday's Heroes!". Continued from Alpha Flight (Marvel, 1983 series) #29. The Incredible Hulk Annual (Marvel, 1976 series) #14 takes place between pages 4 and 11.
