Storyline

A giant dinosaur smashes the Quinjet that Tigra was flying over the Pacific. She crashes on a primitive island and tries to radio for help. Meanwhile it turns out the dinosaur was being controlled by Dr. Demonicus. Demonicus orders the monster to kill Tigra and the natives. Luckily her West Coast Avengers teammates Hawkeye and Mockingbird along with Iron Man (wearing retro gray armor) have come to help. Since Tony Stark is reluctant to play superhero anymore (due to being a recovering alcoholic) at first he doesn't intervene, but ultimately does and carries the dinosaur out to sea.

Page count from Mike Lorentz on 1 August 2004. Dr. Demonicus was previously seen in Shogun Warriors #14 (1980). While not called by name, the dinosaur creature is the Marvel Godzilla. Dr. Demonicus refers to him as "my once greatest enemy" as he had battled Godzilla in issue #4 and #5 of the 1977 Godzilla series. Because Marvel no longer had the licence to the character, they had to alter his appearance. He had now undergone mutation via Dr. Demonicus' technology and has a large webbed fin running down his back and arms, webbed hands, and two horns on his snout.
