Story Featuring Justice League
The heroes manage to save themselves when their satellite HQ is destroyed. but the Martian invasion is causing the nations of Earth to consider a nuclear attack. J'onn J'onzz challenges the Marshal to one-on-one combat and defeats him, which causes the Martians to retreat.
Chernenko was the leader of the Soviet Union from April 1984 to March 1985.
