The Hypnotic Trance!

Storyline: Frank Hanson is put under hypnosis by a hypnotist named Thorko on an ocean cruise. This incredibly causes a double of himself to form. This double then tries to live Frank's life getting him into all sorts of trouble. Eventually Frank's wife Alice, drugs the double with spiked tea. When the double falls unconscious it ceases to exist.

Storyline: A strange package is left at a man's door and it turns out to be the ship of an alien ambassador on his way to Mars. He helps the ambassador on his way, but then wakes up from the dream.

The Night Nothing Happened

Storyline: Collins, a young scientist, discovers through his instruments that an alien invasion is coming. The aliens cause a fog that renders humanity in a trance. Collins is spared because he was in his lead shielded lab at the time. After the fog is dispersed, Collins tries to explain what happened to the other scientists including the respected Professor Dobson. No one believes him and he is institutionalized.

Storyline: A medium warns Helen Morley and Tom Bently of a "steel bird," so Helen is afraid of taking an airplane. The medium was right to warn them, but Helen's interpretation was off the mark.
