Story Notes

Adapted from Robert E. Howard story "The Lost Valley of Iskander" When this story, drawn by Chaykin as a 40-pager intended for Savage Sword of Conan, was instead used to fill three issues Conan the Barbarian, new pages (including splashes) were drawn by Ernie Chan ([Roy Thomas] 1977, 21; Thomas 2019, 199–200); this issue’s splash appears to be by Chan. The 51 story pages in the issues 79–81 of Conan the Barbarian suggest that Chan drew some pages not yet attributed to him. _________ References: Thomas, Roy. 2019.
