Storyline

American Becky Lawson marries French heir Gaston Foulard over the strongest objections of Gaston's aged mother, Claudine, who threatens to disinherit Gaston. Becky withholds Claudine's heart medicine and watches her die, ensuring that Gaston will receive the full inheritance which Becky covets. Shortly thereafter, strange things begin to occur in the Foulard mansion.
