Story Notes
The ***"Huey, Dewey and Louie The Junior Woodchucks"*** logo replaces the original *"Donald Duck"* logo for this reprint. The *"Woodchucks"* logo is inadvertently carried forward for the story's reprint in **The Complete Carl Barks Disney Library (2011 series) #29 - Walt Disney's Donald Duck: "The Lonely Lighthouse on Cape Quack"**. In a crowded stand of bleachers, on page 10, panel 6, the reader will spot a rare occurrence of Donald's *"phantom fourth nephew"*, designated by fandom as **"Phooey"**. At this earlier time, Carl Barks had not yet begun formulating outrageously humorous rank designation acronyms for his Junior Woodchucks moguls, and so they are merely unnamed moguls. However, there are signs of his unforgettable acronymic naming that will become the norm for Barks' *(and those by a number of others who write or "translate and dialogue")* Woodchuck-centric stories, in the rapidly rising, falling, and rising-again, ranks given to the Junior Woodchucks Official Hound. Initially, he is demoted to the rank of **S.L.O.B.** *(Simple Lowdown Ordinary Boobhound)* and, once vindicated, elevated to the lofty rank of **S.S.S.S. AND S.O.S.S.** *(Supremely Sagacious Spoor Sniffer and Saver Of Stranded Souls)*.
