Storyline

The Phantom Stranger enlists the League to battle demons summoned by Felix Faust during the annual Halloween Parade in Rutland, Vermont. Later, the team votes The Stranger in as a member but he vanishes before learning their decision.

Credits for script, pencils and inks confirmed from Julius Schwartz's editorial records, provided by DC Comics. The demons in the story possess parade-goers dressed as both DC and Marvel superheroes. Part of a trilogy of Rutland, Vermont stories; the other two being Thor (Marvel, 1966 series) #207 and Amazing Adventures (Marvel, 1970 series) #16.
