On a very hot day, Scamp and Boris try unsuccessfully to beat the heat. Relief comes in a very unexpected way.

Storyline

While Lady and the Tramp are out, it's up to Scamp to keep his mischievous siblings out of trouble. He has a very difficult time doing so.

Sausage Scramble

"Golly! What a delicious aroma!"

Storyline

When a string of sausages falls from a delivery truck, Scamp hopes to take them home as a treat for his family. However, a crow, a gopher, the dogcatcher; a big mean dog, and a colony of ants make his journey one of sausage-attrition.

Little Sir Show-Off

"Hey, fellas! Look at me! I can jump through this fork in the tree!"

Storyline

Scamp is a whiz at doing tricks in the backyard but, when a trained acrobatic dog needs a break and gets a bragging Scamp to substitute for him, the pup finds it's not so easy to wow 'em under the bright lights.

In what may be a double-joke, the dog act trainer is named "Dr. Barks" - covering the sound a dog makes and a fellow Disney comics creator. Remade as "Backstage Hero" in Scamp (Western, 1967 Series) #31 (September, 1976).
