Storyline: Miss Layton tells Pamela what it's like to be a secretary. A secretary needs to be good at punctuation, vocabulary, grammar and shorthand. The law and medicine fields require knowledge of specialized terminology. You must be able to type 40-50 words per minute, receive phone calls and mail, answer routine correspondence, transcribe dictated material and record minutes at meetings. Other positions open to secretaries are filing clerk, switchboard operator, mimeographer and court reporter. Learning to use voice recorders, calculators and tabulators will offer more chance for advancement.

The top of the mountain they're on turns out to be a volcano and an active one at that. As it begins to erupt, they are covered with ash and Jean twists her ankle.

Storyline: Editor Grew meets with Sister Rita and the Model Rocket Club, but he's not impressed and thinks they should close the club. The FCC is forbidding rocket clubs from using radio frequencies to launch their rockets. Flagpole comes up with an idea to use red and green colored filters for launching. Chuck and Mike meet with Spike to purchase rocket propellant and have him arrested.
