Storyline: Debbie returns to her home town, afraid that she will meet Alan, who broke up with her a year ago. When she does finally see him, she realizes for the first time that she is ready to move on.
Storyline: Janie treats Richard badly even though she knows he is in love with her. Years later they meet again and she changes her mind, but she hears that Richard wants to get back at her by dumping her just as she dumped him before.
Storyline: Barbara and Denny get married in spite of her parents' objections and learn that married life is a lot harder than they thought.
