When an enemy agent attempts to substitute himself for Clark Kent, Superman is mysteriously stricken with amnesia. Not able to remember his secret identity, he mistakenly deduces that he is really the President of the United States.
The President is unnamed in this story "in order not to offend the dignity of the office."
