Storyline
A Russian dissident is forced by his loyal brother to build a giant statue glorifying the USSR. An alien crash lands and fuses with the statue for protection, animating it. When it's attacked, it defeats the entire Soviet military on land, sea, and air. The alien’s companions come to Earth to retrieve him and the sculptor claims that the statue coming to life was a judgement against dictatorship, frightening the regime.

While he appears orange on the cover, the Colossus is colored gray in the interior art.
The alien that animates the Colossus is a 10 foot tall orange humanoid crab creature with four arms and large round white eyes.
