Black Widow has been brainwashed and now thinks she is a schoolteacher named Nancy Rushman. Spider-Man saves her from a gang of rapists, but then they are both attacked and captured by S.H.I.E.L.D.
Viper is revealed in issue #85 to have been behind the brainwashing. The Nancy Rushman personality is later imprinted on Lynx.
NBA stars Rick Barry and Julius "Dr. J" Erving demonstrate their skills at a playground basketball game with some kids and discuss the quality of Spalding autograph basketballs.
