Story Notes
Story continues from the previous issue. Story originally intended for a Superboy & the Legion of Super-Heroes Spectacular in the DC Special Series. Reworking for appearance here caused Jim Starlin to request having his name taken off. Joe Staton credit confirmed by Paul Levitz in The Legion Companion, page 110: "I recreated the story, we threw out a few pages, we had Joe Staton do a new splash page for the second part [and] ran it in an entirely different order with a somewhat different plot than what Jim intended..." Thanks to the LSH: The Legion of Super-Heroes Facebook group for this information.
