The Pawnee intend to sacrifice a captive Cheyenne girl to the Morning Star. One brave disagrees with this ritual and interferes.

Reproduction of painting with this commentary: "Howl of the Weather" by Frederick Remington portrays the dangerous life of early "voyageurs" who explored our western wilderness. Much of the then inaccessible land was first seen from canoes built in imitation of Indian models.
