Following a bad breakup, Jane takes refuge in her summer home, determined to avoid all men. Her neighbor silently gives her the room she needs to recover until she is ready to fall in love again.
Gloria takes her boyfriend Larry for granted, telling him she can't marry him until she is better positioned in her career. When her old friend Sally visits, Gloria doesn't realize that she is losing Larry to Sally.

Karen alerts Lila and Roger that their son Richy is planning to elope, giving them time to stop the marriage. Peggy reveals that her old love Bob is available again, and that she is interested in pursuing him.
