Storyline: Elmer decides to go into the chicken raising business. Foghorn tricks him into feeding him for a month, promising he'd lay a ruby egg. Two crooks swipe a ruby from a museum and toss it in Elmer's coop while fleeing the cops. Elmer thinks Foghorn laid the ruby and takes it. That night the two crooks return to the coop and shake down Foghorn looking for the ruby.
