Storyline: Previews of two stories in the issue.

Storyline: Sam Galt dams a river and charges a high price for trail herds to have access to the water. Favor grudgingly pays the price, but not before having a fight with Galt's foreman. Later, the Sheriff of Devil's Gap comes to arrest Favor for the murder of Galt, on the accusation of Galt's foreman.

Storyline: Favor accompanies Vin Cooke, a tall former prize fighter, to make a challenge of strength to a band of Indians in order to prevent an attack on a fort. The challenge is accepted, but Cooke is shot in the arm by a warrior. Favor steps in and has to battle two of the chief's warriors.
