Storyline

Red Kryptonite once again splits Clark and Superman into two people, and Superman is an egotistical bully who demands to be elected king of the world, threatening the United Nations with his super-powers. Clark decides to form an anti-Superman underground movement to overthrow his evil duplicate.

Script credit from letter column in #316; we previously credited Robert Bernstein. Story continues in Action Comics #312. Red Kryptonite previously split Superman and Clark in Action Comics #293. An experiment conducted by Superman in this issue causes the Red K effect to be duplicated, when ordinarily Red K does not affect Superman in the same way twice.

The Day Super-Horse Became Human!

Story Featuring Supergirl

"Bill, my dearest! I love you!"

Storyline

On Valentine's Day, Comet watches as Supergirl is showered with affection, and he wishes that he could also express his feelings for her. He appeals to Circe to make him human, but later a complicated series of events makes him change his mind and desire to be a super-horse again.
