Storyline: Dan dates several women without becoming attached to any of them, until he meets Betty. He tries to resist falling in love with her, without success.
Storyline: Jan has loved Stewart for many years, though everyone (including Stewart) thinks he is too old for her. When she finally agrees to date someone her own age, she realizes that her love for Stewart was never real.
Storyline: Linda won't limit herself to dating only one guy, even though she really does like Allen best. When she realizes that Allen might leave her, she finally changes her ways.
Storyline: Lorrie falls for Ray, an actor, but eventually learns that Ray has broken many hearts before her.
