Story Notes
Marshal J.D. Hart is killed. People begin to vanish around Jonah, leading to his new series. Some DC sites list this issue as a Pre-CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS mini-series cameo of The Monitor; the Monitor does not appear in this issue nor is he referenced. However, on page #21 there is a sequence where Jonah is riding off into the night - having just left the hospitality of an old man stranger at his farm - a bright light shoots out of the night sky over Jonah in the direction of the old man's farm. Jonah dismisses it as he rides off.
