Story Featuring Superman
Under the influence of a strange type of red kryptonite, Superman loses his powers and his memory. He wanders onto a farm, where he meets and romances Sally Selwyn, assuming the name Jim White. But Bart Benson wants Sally for himself and tries to sabotage "Jim" at every turn, eventually knocking "Jim" into a river. Saved by Aquaman and Lori Lemaris, Superman awakens recovered, but with no memory of his time as Jim White.
Portions of Plastino's artwork during this stage in his career mimic other artists' work. Art identifier Pat Lang confirms work by Plastino, though Lori Lemaris especially looks like modeled after Wayne Boring's version of the character.
