Story featuring Ben Bowie and his Mountain Men

Storyline: The British plan to push the Wilderness Road a hundred miles further west and built two forts. The commander hires Ben and his men to help protect them from Iroquois warriors under the command of the new chief, Black Crow.

The Escape

Story featuring Ben Bowie and his Mountain Men

Storyline: Ben and Jim are captured by Shawnee Indians and are "adopted" into the tribe, clothed in Indian garb, and have their heads partially shaved. The pair escape from the Shawnee but have to convince the nearby settlers they are not Indians.
