Story featuring Sgt. Rock

Battle of the Pajama Commandoes!

Story featuring Sgt. Rock

Storyline: Rock's landed in the hospital as the guys tell how he got here: fighting a Tiger tank in hedgerows, gunning Stukas, tackling Wee Willie off a mine. The Captain chides Rock for stunting instead of leading. Easy moves off, and Rock is chided by a nurse. But that night Nazi tanks and infantry break through and shell the crossroads. Rock gathers the "Pajama Commandoes" and launches a counter-strike to drive back the enemy. Rock's nurse defends him to the captain: he needs rest to recover. For once, Rock admits something's easy in Easy!

Battle of the Bucket Ship!

Storyline: A Navy skipper gets a "rust bucket" ship and oddball crew to deliver supplies between islands. He was assigned to a famous fighting ship, but sunk by a killer sub and carrier "Huru". Now he frets for combat with sealed orders. The "bucket" is hit by a torpedo and crippled. It's the killer sub and "Huru"! Even unarmed, the "oddballs" agree to right. They shell the ships with small arms and decide to ram with a hold of explosives and gasoline. They sink the carrier and get picked up. Their orders were probably to deliver the goods. "We delivered!"
