Storyline

Dorothy lives vicariously through Susan's story of how she met a man at a carnival and fell in love with him. But when Susan starts talking of the future and marriage, she can see that he doesn't love her. Two years later, Dorothy goes to the spot where Susan had first kissed Hal, hoping to meet him.

Storyline

Vera's only real living was during her lunch break when she watched the couples in the park. One girl in particular captures her heart when she sees her waiting at the statue every day for the man who left her there. She vows she will never be like that. Then she meets Tony who has only one day until he re-enlists in the Navy.
