Storyline: Marie's college roommates fall in love with students away from home and have their hearts broken after four years when the boys leave. Marie vows she won't fall for a student away from home, but when she meets Bret she finds herself following the same path her roommates did.

One Fateful Ring!

Storyline: Evie had met David, a soldier, but also a free-spirit, by accident when he was trying to reach her sister to spend a three-hour layover with him. Instead he asked Evie to join him. Later she received a short note from him saying he will be in New York around 8 o'clock between trains and he won't be back for two years. As 8 o'clock approaches, Evie stares at the telephone, praying that it will ring.

Storyline: Kathy loves Ken but sometimes he seems to think more of his fishing than he does of her. Whenever the subject of marriage came up, his response was always "some day". Eventually, Kathy reaches her breaking point and when Ken tries to talk to her, her response is "some day".
