Storyline

A policeman goes to Scottsdale to tell a widow that he had accidentally been responsible for her husband's death three years earlier when they we in the service together. But when he arrives, he can't find the words to tell her and instead falls in love with her.

Storyline

Dorothy meets a man above the town, but he doesn't want to exchange names because a hilltop at twilight is too magical for dull, every-day things like names. Finally, after meeting a few times there he confesses he already knows her name. But he is mistaken, thinking she is Dorothy's sister, whom he had fallen in love with from a photograph he had seen two years earlier before Jerry had left Alicia.

Storyline

Vera is tormented when she learns her friend is going to marry a man who saved her life. When the engaged couple have a quarrel, he comes to Vera and tells her that it was she that he wanted. He makes love to her on the beach where he had saved her, but the next day she learns that he and her friend are back together. Time passes and she finds herself serving as maid of honor at their wedding.
